STRONG + SUSTAINABLY SOURCED
We use premium upholstery-grade leather - the same kind designed to handle years of use on high-end furniture. It's thick, durable, and made to last, with a luxurious feel and rich texture.
What makes ours different?
We don’t order brand-new hides. Instead, we rescue remnants from North Carolina upholsterers - high-quality leather that was leftover from custom furniture projects and would otherwise be discarded. That means every bag we make is not only tough and timeless - it’s part of a more sustainable story.
This leather was built to take a beating, soften with use, and wear in - not out. Over time, it develops a unique patina and character that reflects your life and style.
Unlike mass-market “genuine leather” that’s been stripped down and rebuilt with chemicals, our leather is the real deal: honest, imperfect in the best way, and perfectly one-of-a-kind.

THE BASICS
1. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight
Too much sun can dry out leather and cause fading over time. When not in use, store your bag in a cool, dry place.
2. Keep it dry - or dry it gently
While upholstery leather has a natural resistance to moisture, it’s best to avoid soaking it. If your bag gets caught in the rain, blot with a clean, dry cloth and let it air dry naturally.
3. Don’t overstuff
Leather will stretch with pressure. To keep your bag’s shape intact, avoid overfilling it.
4. Handle with clean hands
Natural oils from your hands help condition the leather, but lotions, makeup, or food residue can stain lighter colors.

CLEANING YOUR BAG
For regular cleaning: Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to gently wipe down the leather exterior. Always test a hidden spot first.
For scuffs or marks: A lightly damp magic eraser can help lift surface blemishes - just dab gently and avoid rubbing with pressure to prevent damaging the finish.
Interior care: Our water-resistant lining is designed to wipe clean with a damp cloth. Spills, crumbs, or makeup mishaps? No problem - just wipe and go.
Avoid harsh cleaners: Skip alcohol, household sprays, or soaps - these can strip the leather's natural oils and finish.
Never soak or machine wash. Spot clean only, and let your bag air dry away from direct heat.
WHAT IS A REMNANT?
When upholsterers cut leather for furniture, they typically use only the center of the hide - the largest, cleanest section that fits the dimensions of a sofa or chair. This leaves behind smaller pieces that are perfectly good but too irregular or small for another full furniture panel.
These leftover sections are called remnants - and they're often discarded despite being high-quality, full-grain leather. Because of strict sizing needs in upholstery work, the waste rate can be surprisingly high.
We reclaim these remnants and turn them into beautiful, durable bags. By giving this leather a second life, we help reduce waste, support the circular economy, and create one-of-a-kind pieces with a story worth telling.
